Project overview
The provision of twenty-six refurbished student bedrooms for St. johns College Oxford.
The grade 2 listed building in the preservation area had significant challenges with the incorporation of the new more highly served bedrooms with the existing structure whilst maintaining the original features within the building.
The works consisted of new low temperature heating system using three air source heat pumps with radiators in bedrooms and social spaces with towel rails in the ensuites.
Five Indoor heat pump units are installed providing hot water to the ensuites and extract ventilation, very highly efficient way of producing hot water using the exhaust air for the heat pump.
Chilly water services provided by cold water storage and booster set in new basement plantroom.
