Project overview

The extension to Sobell House hospital provided six addition beds and clinical space to the existing hospice.

New gas fired heating boilers are installed to provide heat to underfloor heating, radiators, air handling units and domestic hot water calorifiers.

Ventilation was provided vis central air handling plant to serve e=wards and clinical areas with natural ventilation provided to the main entrance and waiting area. Smoke ventilation was also provided to the two main stir cores and main entrance area.

DX cooling system were installed to provide cooling to the server room and the cooling coils within the air handling units.

A Sprinkler system was provided throughout the building with onsite water storage.

Medical gasses were provided to the 6 bedrooms including Oxygen and vacuum at the bedheads with two AVSU models located in the corridors.
