Project overview

Situated in the Chilterns this new Property was developed By Spink Construction.

LTHW heating has been provided to Fayland via pre insulated pipework from a remote plantroom with heat generated via a Biomass boiler plant fed with wood from the surrounding woodland.

Heating is via an Underfloor heating system with mixed flow temperature blended within the plant room via a three port control valve and Grundfos circulation pump.

The underfloor heating system is designed to allow each area served to operate as an independent temperature zone and therefore each circuit loop has been installed with an electric actuator.

Local room temperature controls are via a KNX/BMS system.

A trench heater has been installed within the kitchen area below the window this is supplied with heat from a dedicated circuit from the underfloor heating manifold also located in the kitchen.

Heated Towel rails have been installed within bathroom areas; these are supplied via a dedicated loop from the UFH circuit.

Hot water generation is via two solar panels installed on the roof area directly above garage plant room, these connect via a pump manifold to the twin coil cylinder to provide Domestic hot water.  The primary coil in the cylinder is connected to the Biomass Boiler.
