Project overview

The building comprises four levels starting from basement extending up to Level 2. The basement area previously comprised of a boiler room, old practice room (which accommodated the incoming LV electricity infrastructure) and storage and cellar areas. The ground floor comprised of an entrance hall, dining room, decommissioned kitchen, tutorial room and ablutions. The first floor incorporated 2 No. dining areas, an office, tutorial room and a self-contained apartment (Flat 1), with the second floor containing 2 No. further self-contained apartments (Flats 2 and 3)

The scope of works within this package comprised of a full refurbishment of the basement, ground floor and first and second floor non-residential areas. The flats were also fully refurbished from a mechanical point of view.

The refurbishment works incorporated the provision of new ablutions and a commercial kitchen at basement level (B1), resulting in the relocation of the existing basement boiler room into the Old Practice Room.

In addition, a new accessible WC has been provided at ground floor level, as well as a new external platform lift at the rear of the building to provide access into the ground floor Entrance Hall.
