Project overview
This project consisted of construction of a new 25 metre six lane swimming pool with automated moving floor, dance and fitness studios, wet and dry changing facilities, WC’s, stores, and offices wrapped around the existing sport Hall which was in use during the main construction of the pool buildings. During the school summer holiday, the Sports hall was also refurbished.
The project included a new basement plantroom housing the new ventilation plant for the pool hall, new gas fired boilers along with Combined heat and power units and domestic hot and cold-water plant. The building was heated with underfloor heating throughout the changing facilities and pool surrounds with radiant panels in the sports Hall, Natural ventilation units we installed in the sports hall for ventilation.
Dedicated VRF heating/ cooling systems were installed for the studios, fitness suite, staff office and server/ AV rooms.
